Chatfield LoPresti Elementary School

Development for developing minds.

Colliers Project Leaders served as commissioning agent during the construction of the New Chatfield-LoPresti Elementary School. This $25 Million, 85,000 square foot expansion and renovate-as-new project consisted of the consolidation of the Paul E. Chatfield and the Anna L. LoPresti Elementary Schools into the new Chatfield-LoPresti Elementary School. This multi-phased project provided educational space including classrooms, a library, and a media center. The project also called for the complete replacement of the MEP infrastructure, including a new building management system. The school was designed and constructed to meet Connecticut High Performance Building Standards and features alternative energy systems and green building concepts such as geothermal heating and photovoltaic systems.

In the role of commissioning agent, we provided oversight and coordination of the mechanical system commissioning process and presented to the town recommendations regarding the performance of building systems associated with the project.
