Comprehensive project management services.
Colliers Project Leaders provided project management services throughout all phases of construction for a new 93,000 square foot Pre-K through 5th grade school facility in Templeton, MA.
The District selected to build the new facility on the site of the existing Templeton Center School. The project consisted of the demolition of the former school building, as well as improvements to the site and adjacent roadways.
The new school includes a three-story building with classroom wings, a gymnasium, cafeteria/auditorium, kitchen, administrative areas, and support spaces. Site elements include two playgrounds, a sizeable pedestrian plaza, and seat walls constructed with bricks salvaged from the former school building.
As part of the overall plan, the District consolidated the Templeton Center School, the Baldwinville Elementary School, and the Kindergarten students from East Templeton School.
On a whole building air test performed by Intertek, the average infiltration rate between positive and negative loading was .062 CFM at 75 PA. This is 40% less than the stringent .1 CFM specified for the project. It's also the tightest building that Intertek's staff had tested to date, including many other high-performance buildings. The positive results reflect the teamwork and strong management that was a hallmark of this project from the beginning.
