Improving access to water.
The treatment plant uses a gravity-fed wet well intake drawing from the Mackenzie River as its primary water source. Due to this location, there is occasional ice build-up that impedes access to the well and pumps and causes damage to intake pipes. We are leading the community project from concept to completion to ensure the community has year-round, reliable access to drinking water. Our team led the feasibility study to determine new intake options, including additional water storage in case of failure, and a Constructability Risk Assessment for the preferred option.
They take the time to visit our community, listen to our stories, celebrate in our successes, take part in our traditions and understand who we are and what is important to us. They don’t just make sure our projects are successful, they make sure our people are successful by ensuring project decisions align with our cultural values and community needs.”
