Blackstone Hotel Chicago

Commissioning of extensive hotel renovation project.

On behalf of the property’s asset manager, JP Morgan Asset Management, Colliers Project Leaders was engaged to provide field commissioning of the extensive renovation of Chicago’s Blackstone Hotel. The renovation includes most of the hotel gutted to its skeleton with the exception of the hotel’s historic areas which were carefully restored.

Each guest floor was reconfigured to create entirely new hotel rooms, complete with modern amenities. In addition, the building received all new plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling and fire protection systems. Basement levels were reconfigured, creating new mechanical spaces, offices and kitchens.

Recognizing that client comfort is of utmost concern within the hospitality industry, Colliers Project Leaders was engaged to provide a post-renovation examination/field commissioning of the hotel’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
