New England Life Care Renovations

Renovation of repurposed space dedicated to a home infusion pharmacy and clean laboratory.

Colliers Project Leaders was retained by New England Life Care (NELC) as the overall project manager for the renovation of its existing facility located in Woburn, Massachusetts. When completed, the refreshed facilities will include 12,000 square feet of repurposed space dedicated to the home infusion pharmacy and clean laboratory designed for compounding and manufacturing.

The challenges faced in the project included managing the construction process while not disturbing the continued daily operations of the ongoing business which serves 39 partner hospitals located throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts. FDA regulations for CGMP facilities were followed rigorously by the entire Project team.

There were two unforeseen situations encountered during the project that the project team managed around. The first was the record 10 feet of snowfall. The second was dealing with logistics and scheduling challenges due to NELC’s vendor which is headquartered in Spain with a manufacturing facility in California.
